Described as the 'Cbeebies of the faith community', The Little Worship Company has created brilliant, inspiring media to help children discover God and to encourage a global audience of faith-filled little humans.

LWC: I think people do underestimate what a child can absorb at that age but that is the foundations of their faith, those initial years. And it's really easy to bung them into a room and say they're fine; give them some snacks. But the truth is, with the Little Worship Company what we wanted to say is this is the start of their faith journey. We wanted to give them the very best.
We were looking what was out there from a non-Christian point of view, like CBeebies and Disney, thinking they've got amazing stuff; why is it in the faith-based market they haven't. We wanted to solve it. We wanted to throw every single bit of experience, passion, excitement into that and say if we start with the children young then their excitement and their passion for God will be really evident.
We're hopefully setting a new precedent to say if you are a Christian, if you're a parent or a child, you deserve the best. That's what God's kingdom is: excellence. It's high quality; it's not trying constantly to do everything on the cheap. So it's been really exciting to throw everything into it to make sure that we do do the best.
Jeff: You sound so passionate about it and it will come across in the product, I'm sure of it. I was just thinking of the old adage 'why should the devil have all the good music;' why should the devil have all the best children's entertainment?' I guess it would lend itself for school assemblies, Sunday school, holiday clubs.
LWC: The Curriculum version of the Little Worship Company series 1 is absolutely amazing. I can big it up so much because I haven't been involved in the half of it. The writing is just out of this world. And it gives you everything that you need to run a Sunday school, a messy church, a holiday club. It's got craft activities, icebreaker activities; the music that you play on the TV; prayers, singalongs led by some of Britain's top music producers. Absolutely everything is there in the package.
If you were a church or one of the other groups that you've mentioned you could just buy that and you would have 32 weeks of material that you would literally not have to do anything other than have a look at it in order for the children to be led in those activities. Absolutely brilliant.
Jeff: How was it received at Spring Harvest?
LWC: Really well. Everybody that's responding is saying they can't believe there is something like this. I think spring Harvest is the start of the journey and what's really exciting for us, we've got lots of different projects so it's really exciting to see which ones are starting to emerge as the things people are most excited about. We're right in the early stages but so far it's been absolutely brilliantly received.
Jeff: How will people be able to get their hands on the Curriculum pack in the future?
LWC: The Curriculum, the DVD and the books can be bought in many different ways. The Christian bookstores are going to sell them; everything's online at Amazon and www.littleworshipcompany.com has got its own shop so you buy through that. Anybody is welcome to phone us at Wonderborn Studios if they want to talk through in any more detail what it looks like for a church or a home devotional.
We're working hard at the moment to make sure it's accessible in lots of ways. Of course it's available at the app store and the app is brilliant because it's got all the media in it, albeit not all the stories you get in the DVDs. But it's got the prayers, the games, the bible verses so it gives children and parents the opportunity to be mobile with the Little Worship Company.
Jeff: It sounds absolutely wonderful; it sounds like something there's been a need for a while.
LWC: Thank you! I'm really excited that you are as well. We're really hoping that everybody does their bit now because obviously at the BBC you can advertise your stuff but because we are starting out we hope that the word spreads quickly. So do spread the word that the Little Worship Company is out there and order some products. I really hope people get as excited as the first reactions to the product show.
Jeff: You know what they say about the difficult second album; I think God's going to make sure there'll be no problem with that one.
LWC: We've got 52 Little Worship Company songs so feel free when you're doing one of your children's sections to play any of the music. The worship music is things like Hillsong, brilliant music from Integrity, all the different artists. It's all been re-recorded to be appropriate for the 0 to 7 year olds but then allows them to take that music and the memory of that worship music right the way through into adulthood. It is brilliant; there are so many products for people to tap into.
Jeff: Fantastic. I think you're right; at the other end of the age spectrum older folk say oh, we had that song in Sunday school and they link it in to something and you're putting the foundation down for a lifetime.
