Heather Bellamy spoke with Graham Swann

Continued from page 2

Graham: I had a friend who I've known for years who thought I had just turned all religious and gone all crazy and didn't really understand me. His wife bought my book for him for Christmas as well. Then he got himself in a right mess financially and he was lying to try and hide things. In February he decided that he was going to commit suicide. The day he decided he was going to commit suicide was the day he decided to pick my book up and flick through the pages. He said he sat and read the whole book from cover to cover and woke his wife up in the early hours of the morning and told her that he was going to commit suicide that day and their whole life changed and they had got hope! And I just thank God.

Heather: That's incredible Graham, what amazing stories. If anyone is reading this today and if anyone can relate to your life and they are still stuck in those life circumstances themselves, what would you want to say to them today?

Graham: Well I would definitely say we are only as sick as our secrets. Our secrets are poison. It's all inside us, all these emotions, this anger, guilt and jealousy and shame and it poisons us. But there is a living God and his name is our Lord Jesus Christ and he has an anointing to heal broken hearts and set the prisoner free.

I would definitely advise you to read the book, because it's well written. Tim, a good friend of mine, he edited it to make the message crystal clear.

There is hope out there, there is hope.

Today people say Jesus Christ is an old thing, but no it's not, it's as new today as it always has been and he loves you. He does love you with all his heart and he loves every ounce of us. So please if you are reading this, there is hope. If he can do it for me he will do it for you.

Heather: Why is your book called Prison Without Bars?

Graham: I had to think about this for a long time. In the Bible it tells us that God does not give us weapons of this world to fight with, but he gives us a power to defeat the strongholds of our mind. Strongholds in the Greek language means a prison in the mind, a prison without bars. So I thought a lot of us are in this prison without any bars, we have got strongholds in our mind and in our beliefs and in our heart, binding us up, so that is why I called the book Prison Without Bars.
