1 Thessalonians chapter 4:13-18
Day 7
If I was the devil...
I would tell you you've got lots of time
Once upon a time I dreamed of what it would be like to be 17. Now I am 33 and I realise, time is flying by. Time is tickin' away! Choose to redeem time, so it really works for you! How do you do that?
1. Remember your creator!
In Luke 15 we read a story about the
'Prodigal Son!' The young man threw off all restraints and ran to
indulge himself in a life of pleasure. In the end, that pursuit cost
him everything and when he was at his lowest, the Bible says, "he came
to his senses." (Luke 15:17) He had spent a silly season, losing
everything he had worked for in selfish pursuit, causing heartache and
distress along the way. He forgot his creator! Choosing to remember
your creator God, will cause you to live the life of destiny God has
for you and will save you from the distress that selfish ambition
causes.
Every moment wasted is a moment's delay in picking up God's awesome dream for your life. No more silly seasons! - Live the dream - remember your creator!
2. Remember the comeback King is coming
Some sportsman make so
many come-backs, that when they do retire again, it's hard to believe
whether it's true or not. Jesus, is the comeback KING!
* King Herod tried to kill Him as a baby - but He came back!
* The Devil tried to tempt Him - but He came back!
* The Jews
denied Him - but He came back!
* The Devil killed Him - But HE
came back!
* At the moment - He's waiting for His final comeback
and it will be HUGE. (Read 1Thessalonians chapter 4:13-18)
We have to be on the lookout, ready for Him, because the truth is, Jesus could come back today! Each moment that passes - is a moment closer to the return of Jesus. He is coming back, to take us to Heaven with Him! He's coming soon - are you ready?
Next time the devil tries to tell you that you have lots of time,
remember - he's lying! Tell him your days are numbered, and then
remind him that his days are too. He hates that stuff! In fact, read
Revelation 22:21 to him. It says; ".the grace of the Lord Jesus be
with God's people. Amen"
What's that got to do with anything?
Well, Genesis 1:1 Says; "In the Beginning God" and Revelation finishes
with "Jesus". No mention of the devil, WHY? Because his days were
numbered, God was counting, and his days ran out!
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to redeem my time and make it work for your purposes. I want to build your kingdom before I die and go to spend eternity with you, Amen.
