We Can See It

Most people are people who have the capacity to see. I believe that as a church community, it's not sight that dictates but vision. Helen Keller once stated that the thing that is worse than being blind was to have sight but be unable to see.

Please don't allow what you see today to dictate your steps toward your tomorrow. Even worse, don't allow what you have seen in the past be the Governor of your hopes for your future. Begin to dream and allow the possibilities of a big God begin to framework your vision.

If things are getting in the way of seeing what God can do blot them out, even get blinkers. Refuse to be blinded by the mediocrity that others live in. Choose to see things from God's perspective - including yourself! You may consider yourself to be 'only human'. No you are not!

You are a child of the King, a Holy Ghost warrior, miracle yielding, city transforming and nation changing gladiator of the Faith who is called by God to greatness. He is forming and shaping you into the person of destiny that you were placed on this planet to be!

I'm Living It

I guess some may think this is a bold statement but it's true. I must be the world's greatest over achiever. I look at my beautiful wife and think, 'you did well there boy!' I look across our awesome congregations and think, 'wow, this must be God's doing' and it is.

I think God uses, I speak as an example, those that are prepared to be over achievers! Those who aren't limited by their academic potential or their family background. I think God uses the people who are daring enough to say, 'you know what, I'll give Him my all & He can do what He wills'.

I think God uses the broken and damaged, the weak and defenceless and the lowly. God is interested in over achievers. Like me!

As a church, Bethel City Church is living proof that God can take something, anything and use it to His glory and affect cities & beyond!

Those that say, 'it'll never last,' get a bit confused when they meet me because, you know what, they are right. However, He'll always last and when we throw ourselves on Him we become part of His unstoppable revolution that is committed to seeing His Kingdom come!

If it was down to me it would have failed a long time ago. The reason they are wrong is because our God is a good God doing extraordinary things through pretty normal people like you and me.

In conclusion, it's easy to be a sceptic or cynic, it takes heart to believe. Don't allow the pervading atmosphere to dictate. Allow Jesus to lead you into an adventure that will give you mountain top experiences & awesome adrenaline fuelled encounters.

Change your mindset & it'll change your life!
