Remember the movie Hope Floats? To be honest I don't, but the title has always stuck with me. I love the phrase 'Hope Floats' and I think I get it, or at least in my own heart it reminds me of one of my favorite truths....there is always hope.

As long as God is on the throne, as long as we allow Him place in our hearts and lives there is always hope.There is always the possibility for dreams fulfilled, rescue in time of need and redemption for all. There are some pretty intense and crazy statements in scripture, and by crazy I mean so wonderfully true that it's hard to fathom:

'If God is for us who then can be against us?'; 'Greater is God who lives in me than he that is in the world'; 'Nothing is impossible with God'.

If you believe...then BELIEVE...and believe all of it!

Here is the hope that always floats; the hope that swirls atop the sea of human failure like a yellow lifesaver always near enough to reach. This is the hope that God allows us in every situation. You and I and all those who have chosen a life of faith in Christ are ever living in the realm of possibilities, the kingdom of ever being saved. Hope is a beautiful thing and hope fulfilled is even more beautiful.

Take a deep look at your life and take note of all the moments your hope has become reality. Sure, sometimes that floating hope has required a bit of a swim to grab hold of, but better that than drowning in despair.

I choose to swim and not sink; to grab hold of the hope as I travel down this river called life and stay anchored to the greatest one of all. You can float, I can float, we can all float atop these waters and perhaps even dare to one day walk upon them.

We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It's an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hebrews 7:19 (NLT)
For the law never made anything perfect. But now we have confidence in a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
