Elevation

Give me a potted history of the band.

(Nick) We started out as a guitar band playing worship songs. It was three years ago Andy, JP and I decided to start doing dance music. Sumo joined soon after with no particular skills, but by God's grace learned to dance and rap. Two girls joined a year later (Amanda and Gill) but sadly Gill and JP left us last year, as they've both left Sheffield. Our newest member is called Katy. Thai's about as up to date as you get.

Andy, how does a 17 year old A level student get to become a record producer?

(Andy) I made my first album when I was 13. It wasn't brilliant but since forming Elevation we've been really blessed with the finance to get some good equipment and I'm more than happy to spend my spare time working in the studio.

Amanda, I see you're doing a Biblical studies course. Are you an expert on the Levitical offerings and can you read New Testament Greek?

(Amanda) Well...no and no - sorry! I actually started learning ancient Greek but it's hard - I only got as far as learning about a man and his farm then gave up!

You're clearly young evangelists. Why is communicating the Gospel important to you?

(Sumo) All of us in the band have been convicted and changed by the Gospels truth
and we strongly feel that everyone in the world needs to hear that truth, whether or not they accept it.

Do the hard sell. Give me three reasons why people should investigate 'Psalms From The Third Floor'?

(Katy) 1) Well, it will cost you just £11 for 11 songs, that's an incredible one pound per song! 2) 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Everyone who's bought it has liked it - at least, no one's told us they haven't liked it! My mum loves it. 3) We all worked really hard on it for six months and it's a really enjoyable album. If you don't buy it I think we might all cry... (Okay, apparently Nick is too mature for all that!)
