Mike Rimmer quizzed MARTIN AND ANNA SMITH about their new autobiographical books
Continued from page 2
Mike: How's it been for the six children, because obviously it's a change for them, as well?
Anna: I think it's been a tremendous change for them. Noah, who is 11, started secondary school this year and I think for him in particular it's been huge to have his Dad around. I used to go outside and try to play football and do stuff with him and I think he really missed his Dad. I think it's a crucial age, at secondary school. To see them change this year and them become more open about their own emotions and their own feelings rather than. I think I probably put a lot of "come on children, we can cope" mentality on them. Allowing them to cry when they want to cry and talk and laugh and do all those things which the children need to express themselves [has been tremendous]. We've, as a family, journeyed through that this year.
Mike: Anna, what's your favourite Delirious? song?
Anna: I don't know many. It's not really my sort of music.
Mike: I don't believe you for a second.
Anna: Ask me about Matt Redman's or something, I'd know that, but.
Mike: Are you telling me you don't listen to your own husband's band?
Anna: I do occasionally, when I'm missing him. I honestly don't know.
Martin: She's a bit of a Take That girl really.
Anna: I like pop. I've got a lot of that in my house. I like classical music.
Martin: If there's a choice of putting Delirious? on or Rihanna, then there's no contest, is there, really.
Anna: Sorry, darling. I'm really sorry about that.
Martin: Sometimes you like, I don't know, what do you like? "Obsession" or something?
Anna: "Obsession" is probably one of my favourites.
haven't had the opportunity to thank Martin for the wonderful n Holy Spirit filled music that has touched and help build n strengthen my life. I was born again, me and my whole family all on 17jul 1999 and my son recommended 'king of fools' 'what a Friend I've found'. Such a wonderful song, created for angels to sing :).
