Female singer/songwriter BlackWood completes debut album

ESSEX-based music teacher and singer/songwriter Andrea Blackwood Barnes has released an album 'Into The Light' under the name BlackWood. Said Andrea, "After years of putting off making my own album due to being in full time teaching, I decided to go down to four days a week and dedicate the fifth day to making music, although in all honesty, I spent a lot of my evenings on my music as well. For me, it was an important step and one that I very much felt that God made possible for me. This album was about 18 months in the making. I wrote, engineered and mixed all the tracks as well as playing keyboards, violin and singing."
