An eight-CD overview of the development of gospel into soul released

A LAVISH eight-CD set in a hardback book, chronicling the development of soul and R&B from African-American gospel music, has been released by Juno Records. 'From Sacred To Secular: A Soul Awakening' features such artists as Arizona Dranes, Georgia Peach, Mahalia Jackson, BB King, Little Richard, The Swan Silvertones, Marie Knight, Nappy Brown, Bobby Bland, Ray Charles, The Isley Brothers, Mitty Collier, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Sam Cooke and many more.
