Corinne Bailey Rae set to release second album in November
THE NEW album by Corinne Bailey Rae is set to be released in November. This follows a lengthy sabbatical by the singer after the tragic death of her husband Jason from a drugs overdose in March 2008. Recently Corinne won a Grammy for co-composing the song "Stay With Me (By The Sea)" sung by Al Green. Corinne is working in studios in Leeds and Manchester with producer Steve Brown. Guesting on the project are organist/bassist James Poyser, who she met while working on Al Green's 'Lay It Down' album, and The Roots' drummer ?uestlove. Corinne told Mojo magazine, "The new songs are heavier in sound and subject. 'Aggressive' is the word I come back to."
