A bevy of actors and musicians contribute to American audio Bibles

THOMAS NELSON are expecting big things for their 'The Word Of Promise: New Testament Audio Bible', featuring The Passion Of The Christ star Jim Caviezel as Jesus. Other members of the cast include Christian singers Michael W Smith and Rebecca St James. The 20-CD set will be followed by a Christmas story, an Easter story and a series of inspirational devotionals. The Old Testament version will be released in September 2009.

Popular actors and pastors have also played a key role in Zondervan's audio New Testament which was released last autumn and features such figures as Denzil and Pauletta Washington, Cuba Gooding Jr and T D Jakes, all of whom will reprise their roles in the Old Testament due to be released in October. CR
