Stripped down tracks on new Switchfoot EP
ROCK hitmakers Switchfoot have released on their website an acoustic 'Backstage EP' for their fans. Explained the band's Tim Foreman, "Most nights before we go on stage, we meet in the dressing room to warm up and go over a few songs. With just some acoustic guitars, our voices and maybe an accordion or whatever else happens to be lying around, we play these tunes backstage without any of their amplified power. These are often some of my favourite versions of the songs. One night someone said, 'Why don't we record one of these acoustic rehearsals and bring people into the pre-show huddle with us?' So we grabbed a mic and all huddled around it in our small backstage dressing room and played a few tunes. The result is a very unique and stripped down recording of a few favourite tunes through the years. They are acoustic, raw and sound like a dressing room. And we love it! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Who knows, maybe this can be the start of a new Christmas tradition? Let's call this 'Volume 1!'"
