Soul Survivor moves main celebrations into marquee
2001 WILL see Soul Survivor move its main celebrations into a massive marquee on the Royal Bath And West Showground in Somerset. Jonathan Stevens, marketing manager for Soul Survivor, said, "It's a massive transition after seven years in the Mail Pavilion. But growing attendance has demanded the flexibility a big top provides. We'll now have stacks more room to accommodate over 8,000 each week comfortably."
The big top is not all that's new for 2001. Mike Pilavachi said,
"We've recognised the need over the last couple of years to provide a
programme for 20s as well as teens. This year we have distinct seminar
streams running for young teens, late teens and for 20s. We're also
running an emerging leaders stream for those who feel called to church
leadership with Steve Nicholson from the USA and Bishop Graham Cray."
As well as new seminars, a selection of new venues are being
introduced including a Comedy Club, Chasers (an American diner) plus
creative arts workshops for musicians, singers and dancers. The old
favourite cafes and venues will still make an appearance,
