R&B legend Joe Simon returns with new gospel album.
ONE OF THE legendary figures of '60s and '70s soul music Grammy
Award-winning Joe Simon has teamed up with the Original Motown
Temptations to record a gospel album. Also guesting on the album,
released by Parliament Entertainment Records, are the Christ Lutheran
Church Choir. Simon, who left mainstream R&B in the '80s to devote
himself to the Church, is today Bishop Joe Simon. His mainstream hits
include "Teenager's Prayer" (1967), "The Chokin' Kind" (1969),
"Drowning In The Sea Of Love" (1971) and "Step By Step" (1973) - the
latter a UK hit.
