Jonathan Day and Sammy Horner release EP to help Chernobyl victims.
A BENEFIT EP in aid of the Chernobyl disaster victims has been recorded by British roots musicians. Jonathan Day, Sammy Horner and members of their bands Eye Of The Storm and the Electrics have joined forces to record a unique EP entitled 'Rain From A Red Sky: To Russia With Love'. All profits from sales of the EP will go to YMCA Germany's 'Children Of Chernobyl' appeal. Like the musicians, all the companies involved in the project (recording, duplicating, advertising, etc) have donated their services to make the project possible.
Celtic roots musicians Jonathan Day And Eye Of The Storm and
Midlands rock gospel team Change Of Heart are to appear in a secular
rock festival in Minsk, Russia on 9th April. The festival, in aid of
the Chernobyl appeal which will also feature Russia's top secular rock
band Ulsis is to be broadcast on national television throughout
Russia. The festival is part of a tour of Russia and Poland being
undertaken by Jonathan
Day And Eye Of The Storm in April. One concert will take place in
the largest hall in Minsk which until the downfall of communism was
the main meeting hall of the KGB.
