Rapper Lecrae, For King & Country's Joel Smallbone in Christmas musical

A CINEMA musical featuring two of Christian music's most popular figures, rapper Lecrae and For King & Country's Joel Smallbone, Journey To Bethlehem has been released in the USA and Canada. It was filmed in Spain and directed by Adam Anders. The film is described as "This live-action Christmas musical adventure for the entire family [which] weaves classic Christmas melodies with humour, faith and new pop songs in a retelling of the greatest story ever told."

Director Anders first had the idea for the musical years ago when he could not find a Christmas movie to watch. He told Catholic Review Radio, "Coming from the music side of things, I was like, there's got to be a musical about the Nativity. I've got this brilliant idea that nobody had thought of and I thought honestly, all these years I've been trying to make this, I kept thinking somebody's going to do it before me."

Journey To Bethlehem will be shown in UK cinemas from 17th November.
