Sir Cliff Richard announces intention to give up recording.
64 YEAR OLD pop singer Sir Cliff Richard told the national press recently that he has decided to stop all recording. Said Sir Cliff, "I just don't have the time to waste making a record that no one will play. I will be playing concerts until the day I die because I love the atmosphere - but I'll never make another record."
Sir Cliff has released 146 singles and 67 albums. He is the only act to have had a number one in six different decades. Christine Whitehead, of the International Cliff Richard Movement, said, "I hope we can change his mind because we want to hear his records."
