South African music pioneer Dave Ornellas dies
SOUTH AFRICAN pastor, conference speaker and musician Dave Ornellas died on 8th September 2010. After years of working in South Africa's mainstream rock industry with the band Hawk (renamed JoBurg Hawk for the European market) drug abuse took its toll. Ornellas made a life-changing decision for Christ in January 1976. With Christ bringing restoration to his marriage Ornellas turned his musical gift to gospel music and subsequently recorded independent albums 'Masters And Kings', 'Shiloh', (with his family) 'With Love' and 'Plugged In'. For many years he was senior pastor of a church in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town. He ministered with his family at Cross Rhythms Festival 1995 and his son, Daniel, is a well known musician having played in the bands Naked Lyric and Tree63.

I met Dave at Rhema in Randburg while at RBTC. I would really like to get a copy of the CD Shiloh. Can anyone help? We'll use it here in PNG for ministry.
