David Eugene Edwards talks about his Woven Hand side project.
DENVER-based alt country singer David Eugene Edwards, best known for
his work with highly regarded 16 Horsepower, spoke recently about his
side project Woven Hand, whose third album 'Consider The Birds' was
released into the mainstream. Edwards told HM magazine, "Woven Hand
allows me to continue to create without interruption. The main
difference between the two bands is the music, not the lyrics. With 16
Horsepower, the sound we create comes from the group itself. When it
comes to Woven Hand, I play most of the instruments. Basically, this
band is all me, taken completely from my own perspective. The way I
see it, the mixing of religion and music goes hand in hand. There's no
separation of religion from anything in life. God is God, and he's in
every aspect of my life and yours. Music is something that he has
created and it's by him I perform, though him I create, and for him
that I do this. I am fortunate to have been blessed with this gift."
