Martin Smith and Anna Smith both write books about the Delirious? years
IN FEBRUARY David Cook will be publishing two books related to the fondly remembered ministry of rock gospel band Delirious?. The one time frontman with the group Martin Smith writes of his experiences in Delirious?: My Journey With The Band, A Growing Family And An Army Of History Makers. In his foreword for the book worship leader Matt Redman comments, "Over the years Martin has been a mentor to many, near and far. And in this book he will likely do the same for you. The message here is loud and clear - just like the music always was. Martin points us to Jesus and reminds us that when we find ourselves jumping into His Story, it's just possible we might make some history together."
The wife of Martin and mother to their six children, Anna Smith has written an autobiography, Meet Mrs Smith: My Adventures With Six Kids, One Rock Star Husband And A Heart To Fight Poverty. In her foreword for that book Darlene Zschech writes, "We have cried through the loss of a child through miscarriage; we have dreamed together about what we could do to help relieve human suffering; I have met her on my doorstep as she has travelled with six tired children and one dreamy husband across the oceans to come to Australia; we have worshipped and prayed and spoken about the love of Christ till the sun came up. And through it all she has never wavered in her commitment to Christ, her children, her marriage, her family and friends, her church and her local community . and as she has been faithful, my family and I have watched in awe and delight as God continues to trust her with more."
