Mavis Staples, featured on EP and film documentary, to visit UK

GOSPEL music legend Mavis Staples has released the EP 'Your Good Fortune', produced by the acclaimed cross-genre soul explorer Son Little. The project was issued by Anti-Records in April. The singer was recently the subject of a feature-length documentary, Mavis!, directed by Jessica Edwards, which was given its world premiere in March at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.

Mavis is to undertake four UK dates in June and July: the Glastonbury Festival (24th-28th June); Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on the 28th; London's The Clapham Grand on the 30th; and the Cambridge Corn Exchange on 1st July. CR
