Mississippi's Wavorly admit influences from author C S Lewis
AMERICA's Flicker Records have signed Mississippi-based alternative rock band Wavorly. Their record label debut album 'Conquering The Fear Of Flight' will be released in the US in June. Lead singer Dave Stovall says he was greatly influenced by the C S Lewis book The Great Divorce in the writing of the psalms for the project. Said Stovall, "I drew a lot of inspiration from how I feel when I read his books. So we found this rock/alternative sound with a sense of mystery and deep meaning." A single from the album, "Madmen", is already picking US airplay.
