High attendance at West Sussex event

A GATHERING of close to 35,000 people attended Europe's most popular Christian music/gospel event, Big Church Festival. Held on 25th and 26th May at Wiston Estate, West Sussex, it's major artists included Chris Tomlin, Limoblaze, Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes, Rend Collective and We Are Messengers. Said a senior music industry executive, "This event clearly demonstrates that the worshipping Church is strong and healthy. One intriguing new development is the increasing popularity of Afrobeat." CR
