Ohio's Wolves At The Gate release "Flickering Flame" single
THE FRONTMAN of Ohio-based hard music band Wolves At The Gate, Stephen Cobucci, spoke about the group's new single "Flickering Flame", "Faith seems to waver, going in and out like a dim flame. Because of this, we can be tempted to believe that the strength of our faith is tied to the strength of God's love for us. Thankfully this is not true. We all alike are as the broken reeds and smoking wicks that are spoken about in Isaiah 42 and also by Jesus himself. We're broken and weak, yet loved with a perfect love. Though we may be weak in faith, God's love remains strong because it is not dependent on our ability, but on Christ's perfect work to save sinners. I tried to capture that contrast and tension in this song, as God has showed his love to me despite my weakness."
