American musician Gary Trent prays for revival in Cornwall
AN HISTORIC site in Cornwall, significant in the Wesleyan revival, was the setting for a celebration/prayer for revival instigated by American musician Gary Trent. Gary and a 19-strong ministry team from Savannah, Georgia, mobilized Christians from all over the area to attend the event. Trent worked alongside pastor Peter Williams in organising the event which took place within the pit which actually forms a natural amphitheatre. The Savannah team came over and prayed as intercessors in order to bring revival to the nation in a similar way to America, making the journey at their own expense. They came in support of Mr Trent who was following in the footsteps of John Wesley who spoke at Gwennap a total of 16 times. The event included bands from America and Britain but the main theme of the day was definitely revival, from an area steeped in history from 1743.
