Gareth Davies-Jones recording project at The Foundry Music Lab

BRITISH songsmith Gareth Davies-Jones is recording a new project at Motherwell's The Foundry Music Lab. Said the singer, "Generally I hate deadlines, a trait I share with many other creative types I'm sure. However, I realise it's just what I needed to drag out the sum of my songwriting parts and produce the requisite material. From old Irish ballads re-written in my own style, songs dealing with the personal cost of a global conflict, the contrast between one political barrier falling and another rising to the call of the gentle County Down landscape upon a misty-eyed exile. Hopefully there's plenty to keep most folks interested and engaged. I have some wonderful players coming in to feature in the arrangements including a guest appearance by the wonderful duo Megson from Teesside."
