THE FIRST batch of artists and speakers have been announced for the 1999 Cross Rhythms festival 'For Such A Time As This'. The event, to be held on 9th-11th July at Okehampton, Devon, will feature American worship leader Darrell Evans; Milton Keynes alternative rocker FonO; R&B gospel team Nu Life; new American rock unit According To John; Scotland's indie rock band Fabulaus; hot new South African band Naked Lyric; Irish acoustic rock team the Maroons; Australia's prophetic rock musician David Evans; R&B and hip hop team N-Daze; America's popular fusion musicianaries Tony Loeffler And The Blue Angels; up-and-coming band Fruit; alternative rock team Dust; Liverpool worship leader Pete Caulfield; Exeter rock band NSC; R&B's singing family the DNA Algorithm; and Hampshire fusion rock band River Deep.
Speakers booked include the return of popular Word For Today author Bob Gass; director of Evangelical Alliance Joel Edwards; Australia's Tony Fitzgerald; South Africa's Louis Els and USA's Tom Brock and Director of CRED Greg Valerio.
The Cross Rhythms festival is being celebrated in a special 'Catch The
Vibe Day' on UCB Cross Rhythms, Britain's national CCM station on
satellite radio. On April 5th the station will broadcast numerous
extracts of musicians and speakers recorded at the 1998 festival
including Matt Redman, David Evans, Bob Gass and Tony Fitzgerald.
