Inspirational hitmaker Ray Boltz announces he is gay

INSPIRATIONAL singer and songwriter Ray Boltz, from Muncie, Indiana, has come out of the closet as a gay man. Boltz is no longer an active touring musician who in 1990 won the Gospel Music Association's Song Of The Year Award for "Thank You" and another in 1995 for "I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb". CR

I was not totally shocked at this news. As a spirit filled believer GOD gave me some insight and I knew there was something not right with this man. I feel sorry that he felt he needed to make his gay lifestyle public; he did nothing but bring GOD's name to shame; and he is not the first to do this. There is a Great falling away these days, and we were told it would happen! JESUS' coming is nearer, the signs are everywhere! I recall the song lyrics of "GOD did not lift us up to let us down". Let us keep a hold of
1 John 1:8-10. Ray does not have to be told what is wrong and right, he knows!
I have read articles pertaining to his coming out to the public: I can't believe he has made the statement that, he believes that GOD made him gay from the start, this is a lie of the devil! GOD's word says that no sin, and nothing that is a lie will enter Heaven!
THIS IS GOD'S WORD, NOT MAN'S; GOD IS JUDGE!
AND TO HIM THAT KNOWETH TO DO GOOD AND DOETH IT NOT, TO HIM IT IS SIN! I hope that Ray remembers that, if he returns to GOD in a right way, GOD will forgive him. It is one of GOD's best attributes that man knows.

AS CHRISTIANS WE SHOULD NEVER KICK, OR SPEAK BADLY OF ANYONE WHEN THEY GO THROUGH A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS. WE ALL GO THROUGH OUR TIMES OF WEAKNESS, PERHAPS NOTHING SUCH AS THIS BUT WE HAVE THEM NONE THE LESS! IT IS NOT OUR JOB AS CHRISTIANS TO JUDGE ANYONE. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FORGIVE HIM AND ENCOURAGE HIM TO COME BACK INTO THE FOLD. LET'S NOT KICK THE MAN WHEN HE IS OBVIOUSLY GOING THROUGH A TRYING TIME IN HIS LIFE? PLEASE LET'S NOT TREAT HIM OR MAKE HIM FEEL BAD? WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

There are times of weakness, but there are times it goes further; either way you look at it, IT IS SIN!
It is one thing to forgive a weak brother or sister; but they should not continue in sin; they should turn from it, repent and get right with GOD. GOD's word makes it clear that we are not to fellowship when we know someone is living in sin and chooses to do so, and not repent of it. WHAT FELLOWSHIP HATH LIGHT WITH DARKNESS? "And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."-Ephesians 5:11.

Olivia, you need to wake up and smell the coffee dear. Apparently you have not read any articles or interviews of Ray Boltz's coming out of the closet as they say. Ray turned his back on GOD and he is not the first to do so. But sin is sin! We should not make excuses for sin; remember open rebuke is better than secret love.

I upto now find it so hard to believe that a man (created in God's image) who inspired, motivated, encouraged, comforted and led many to christ would give up on his fafth just like that. May God deliver him is my prayer.

I do not believe that Ray gave up his faith totally! However, he has chosen to live and make public his lifestyle of being gay; also living a gay life with another man who is his booking manager in Florida.
Ray chooses to believe that GOD made him that way!
and we all know who the real deceiver is! I do not like the fact that he made this all public, What for?
I know there is a lot of $$$ profit to make in press interviews etc. Ray goes to a church that accepts gay couples; ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS SIN!
GOD'S WORD STAYS THE SAME, IT NEVER CHANGES!
IT IS WRITTEN, THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS! LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU! MAN HAS A FREE WILL TO CHOOSE. BUT YOU CANNOT SAY YOU LOVE GOD IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO FOLLOW HIS
COMMANDMENTS WRITTEN (1 JOHN 2:3, 4).

I met Ray before he was well known in Winchester Indiana. My prayers go out to Ray. God did not make anyone (including Ray) homosexual. Thousands have come out of homosexuality.
May the God that I know you love deliver you and restore you to Himself.

I was amazed to here this information breaking out.
But i want to tell ray that, God did not come for strong but he came the sick and also Gods overwhelming kindness overcomes every darkness in our life. In Isa 28:16, the Bible says, behold, i lay a stone in zion.
A tried ston,a precious cornerstone. Ray you have been tried and tested and qualified to be called a precious stone. Because you have inspired many includind myself to aspire for the best by the that the Lord gave you which is the singing ministry.
Ray, i want to asure you that, we are not qualified before the Lord called us but he called us and qualified us. There is a lot of room for you to came back.
Please go back for that first love you had for God because it is only by that you will be restored by God.
And knowing that, a people are only inspired by what they love first. May spirit of the good lord quicking your mortal body.
God Richly Bless You RAY.

Sin is Sin.....do not sugar coat it.....

Reply by Don @ 15:54 on Aug 6 2011

yes, I do agree that, sin is sin! one cannot change what is already written and established in Heaven!
I cannot believe that Ray believes his gay lifestyle is okay with GOD, IT IS NOT! If we confess our sins GOD will forgive us, we must repent of them first! If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves! The commandments of GOD are truth and light; and if we do not obey them, we are not in the truth! Romans 1 outlines it all clearly, and let us not forget what happened with Sodom & Gomorrah. We are given these things in GOD's word for a reason. GOD is a merciful GOD, His hand is stretched out still.

Ray Boltz has been my favorite Christian Artist since his first album. His music has always shown the depth of our sin but that there is Grace through Jesus Christ. It saddens me that he is giving into his temptions instead of taking them to the cross. I work in a ministery which helps people who want freedom from sexual sin - regardless if it is same-sex attraction or pornography. The people who come through our doors know that this is wroong and want help to gain freedom from thier sin. I pray that we would not turn our back on Ray Boltz but lift him up to the Lord and ask that we would see the wrong in what he is doing and seek help. We also need to keep his family in prayer. It is easy to see why Ray Boltz was abale to produce such sole searching songs because of the struggles he himself was facing.

Thank you Ray for all you have given us and I pray you would seek God during this time of conflict in your life.
