US magazine investigates Christians in classical music and fine arts.

THE FEBRUARY edition of American magazine Charisma published a major feature on the way in which musicians and professional artists are reaching their peers with the Gospel in the area of fine arts and classical music. Interviewed in the article was conductor Patrick Cavanaugh of the Christian Performing Artists Fellowship (CPAF) who organise more than a dozen performance groups, called Selah Ensembles, who perform in the Washington area. Said Cavanaugh, "People look at us and think we're just some Christian group - which translates into mediocrity in their minds. We have had to earn our audiences' respect and the right to be heard through excellence. We treat every note, every line of the drama, every step of the ballet as a wonderful opportunity to please the Lord with our diligence." CR
