Casting Crowns go gold with 'The Altar And The Door' album

REINFORCING their position as currently the best selling Christian act in the world, America's Casting Crowns have been certified gold for sales of their third album 'The Altar And The Door'. The album debuted at number two on The Billboard 200 chart with 129,000 scans, a new record for a Christian artist without crossover promotion in the mainstream market. The album remains number one on SoundScan's Top Christian Albums chart, and the radio single "East To West" has been number one at US Christian AC radio for 13 weeks. All seven band members remain active in student ministry in the Atlanta-area and tour part-time around their local-church duties.
