Barry McGuire teams up with Mick Fleetwood and Roger McGuin
'60S POP STAR and Jesus Music pioneer Barry McGuire teams up with one time hitmakers Mick Fleetwood and Roger McGuin for a 2008 version of "Eve Of Destruction", McGuire composition which was a million-seller for McGuire in 1965. The song has been released to emphasise the problems facing America and the world today, especially with the upcoming elections. Said McGuire, "'Eve' is more relevant today than ever. The song was immediately labeled a 'protest song.' My thoughts at the time, and still remain the same, the song wasn't protesting anything, it was just a diagnostic of societal hypocrisy, political hypocrisy, industrial hypocrisy, military hypocrisy, and spiritual hypocrisy: 'Hate your next door neighbour, but don't forget to say grace.'"
