CCM hitmakers MercyMe readying 'The Hurt & The Healer' album

IN THE US the buzz is growing about the forthcoming MercyMe album, 'The Hurt & The Healer', set to be issued on 22nd May. The title track from the project recently reached number two on the iTunes Christian tracks chart. Said lead singer Bart Millard, "'The Hurt & The Healer' is a celebration of that moment when these two worlds collide. . . the deep need for healing and the God who provides it. For whatever reason, God has called us to help people through the healing process, so as we began this project, we thought, 'do we even try to fight it, this is kind of who we are'." The album was produced by Brown Bannister and Dan Muckala.
