Leeds-based The Austin Francis Connection release first CD

ONE OF the lynch pins of fondly remembered Psalmistry, rapper Edi Johnston, is one of the members of Midlands/West Country-based The Austin Francis Connection, a new aggregation which with rappers Mark and Hobbit attempt to deconstruct hip-hop with a "turn up, plug in and play" aesthetic. Their six-song EP 'A Bit Of A Shambles' has songs covering topics like cookery and weather forecasting, funerals and self harm and was one of the best selling independent CDs at Greenbelt. CR

Just caught the AFC live in Coventry. Absolutly brilliant, one of the most entertaining acts you will see. Check them out, Hobbit is a phenomenon. Nice bunch of guys too.
