Warner Classics release album of Chanticleer performing gospel songs and spirituals.

SAN FRANCISCO based all-male classical ensemble Chanticleer who in the past have recorded everything from Gregorian chants to rarities from the Mexican baroque repertoire have recorded an album of spirituals and gospel songs. The project, released in the UK by Warner Classics, teams Chanticleer up with San Franciscan minister Rev Yvette Flunder. 'How Sweet The Sound' includes renditions of "Jesus Hits Like An Atom Bomb" and "There Is a Balm In Gilead". CR
