Ooberfuse release video to support human trafficking victim
ELECTRO pop band Ooberfuse have released an acoustic music video of their song "Rescue" in support of human trafficking survivor Sophie Hayes. Said Ooberfuse's lead singer Cherrie Anderson, "A close friend of mine disappeared one day. It turned out that she had been kidnapped and trafficked to a remote part of the Philippines to be forced into degrading domestic servitude which included sexual exploitation. When I heard the plight of Sophie here in London all the emotions and feelings came flooding back to me. It was the horror of human trafficking that inspired the song 'Rescue'. We were proud to dedicate it formally to Sophie at the recent launch concert of our second album 'Seventh Wave' which includes 'Rescue'."
