Pat Boone and Take 6 to record album of Ink Spots oldies
VETERAN pop artist Pat Boone, who this year celebrates over 50 years in music, is set to release a new album with renowned acapella group Take 6. 'Pat Boone Sings A Tribute To The Ink Spots Ftg Take 6' will be released on the Gold Label on 1st May. Said Boone, "Growing up in Nashville, I was a longtime fan of the Ink Spots and even sang many of their hits on local radio. But my respect for them grew through the years as I learned how tough it is to get your foot in the door musically. These guys crossed over into pop and stayed popular for decades." Boone and Take 6 will be performing versions of such Ink Spots oldies as "Do I Worry", "You Always Hurt The One You Love" and "Cow Cow Boogie".
