PROBABLY British Christian music's most pre-publicised album {see CR9, Dec 1991), lona's 'Book Of Kells' is released in July. Inspired by the ancient Irish book of the four gospels, 'Book Of Kells' has taken two years from conception to release and is being heavily promoted by Word, who have despatched explanational videos to journalists and radio presenters.
Guest musicians on the album include violin player Frank Van Essen, who has toured with lona and Adrian Snell, harpist Fiona Davidson and violinist Peter Whitfield, responsible for the theme tune of top BBC soap Eastenders. Part of the album was recorded at the Kensington Temple Church in London.
