Pop rockers Jars Of Clay to play at Live 8 concert in Philadelphia.
ACCLAIMED pop rock alternative band Jars Of Clay are amongst the acts to play the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia on July 2. They join such acts as Linkin Park, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5 and Destiny's Child.
Said Jars Of Clay
lead singer Dan Haseltine, "I watched Live AID as a teenager, and it
was inspiring. There is never a moment in this age when we can rest on
what we have done to serve the poor and the suffering. As long as
there are people without access to water, and people who do not even
have the basics for survival, we who have so much, should never rest.
I believe we can make poverty history."
This is excellent news. It's great to see a Christian band being given the chance to perform at such a high profile event.
