Country Music Association and Christian Country Music Association in legal dispute.
AMERICA's Country Music Association and the Christian Country Music Association are continuing to do battle in the American courts over the latter's choice of acronym. In the most recent skirmish, the District Court in Nashville ruled that the CCMA had violated an injunction prohibiting the organisation from using its acronym, finding that CCMA was too similar to the CMA's acronym, creating confusion. The disagreement between the two organisations began 10 years ago.
