A new kind of house music on latest Lins Honeyman project
SCOTTISH singer/songwriter Lins Honeyman will be releasing his latest album 'House Music' on 1st September. The project was recorded solely at house concerts that Honeyman and a handful of other artists have appeared at over the years. It features Honeyman originals plus covers of songs originally recorded by the likes of Chuck Berry, the Coasters and Labi Siffre. Said the singer, "These songs were recorded in the intimacy of living rooms the length and breadth of Scotland; these songs - completely acoustic and with no overdubs whatsoever - reflect what it's like to be in the front row of a house concert. The odd audience cough, the sound of plates being cleared away or unexpected bit of banter all add to the overall feel."
