The Alarm's Mike Peters behind hike/event
THE ALARM'S singer and songwriter Mike Peters is calling fans to participate in a hike/event set to take place in Denver on 1st October. Peters' Love Hope Strength Foundation and sponsors Hard Rock Café, Schomp Automotive, Kool 105, School Of Rock Denver, From The Hip Photo and The Negative Image invite all to join for a fun-filled day of hiking, music and remembrance at the historic Red Rocks. Love Hope Strength Foundation as a charity promotes innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programmes for leukaemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families. The charity raises awareness and recruits potential donors to the organ and bone marrow registers.
The nearly four-mile hike/event is part of the Get On The List programme and will commence atop the scenic overlook of the Amphitheatre. Throughout the trails, hikers will be treated to a series of special acoustic performances by Mike Peters as well as Love Hope Strength supporting artists. All trekkers are encouraged to bring along instruments to join in the music festivities of the day. Immediately following the hike, there will be a catered lunch to honour patient heroes and donors on the patio of the Ship Rock Grille. Participants will gather that evening, with special entertainment at the Hard Rock Café in final celebration of what "will be a day of life saving memories." Peters is a three-time survivor of cancer.
