Asha Elia, Reblah and Sarah Teibo nominated for this year's MOBOs
THERE ARE six nominees in the gospel category of this year's MOBO Awards. They include Asha Elia, who has surpassed one million streams with her hit "Nights Like This", and previous winner Calledout Music. The other nominees are Still Shadey, Rachel Kerr (who will be looking for her second award after winning in 2012), Reblah and Sarah Teibo. The 25th anniversary ceremony of the UK music awards will take place on 30th November at the OVO Arena Wembley.
Gospel music journalist Tony Cummings commented, "This year's MOBO Awards reflect the revolution that has been going on in contemporary gospel music in Britain since streaming began. There are now excellent new independent artists working in many styles - everything from funky choirs to UK grime - and whoever wins this year's award I'm sure they'll be deserving."
