Warner Music Group to be sold for 2.6 billion dollars.
TIME WARNER has decided to sell its Warner Music Group for 2.6 billion
dollars to an investment group, fronted by Edgar Bronfman Jr. If the
deal goes through it will mean that WMG and EMI would each account for
12 per cent of the global music market and there would be two super
major record companies, Sony BMG and Universal Music Group, together
controlling roughly half the worldwide music market.
