New Soul Survivor initiative encourages young people to do more for their communities
A BRAND NEW initiative has been announced by Soul Survivor. The Noise,
which carries the strapline "Actions speak louder", will encourage
young people to practically outwork the Gospel in their own cities and
towns. Britain's largest Christian youth event are now mail-shotting
all their supporters with details of the initiative, set to run from
4th to 7th May. People are being asked to organise themselves into
groups and volunteer for a wide range of differing social action
initiatives. Amongst the Top 25 ideas suggested by the project are
activities as diverse as cleaning the gardens of housing estates,
offering free tea and coffee at bus queues and organising youth cafes.
Groups who sign up will be given information packs and advice in
turning their ideas into a visible demonstration of Christian love to
the community. The Noise follows on from the successful Soul Survivor
Message 2000 mission in Manchester.
