Soul Survivor and the World Wide Message Tribe to target Manchester
A REVOLUTIONARY plan has been announced whereby in the year 2000 the
annual youth festival Soul Survivor and Britain's leading Christian
dance band the World
Wide Message Tribe will oversee a week of activities to see
Manchester "changed for God". In the plan, an estimated 20,000 young
people will converge on the city when Soul Survivor cancel their
annual festival at Shepton Mallet in favour of an action week which
will see mornings focussed on worship and teaching, afternoons with
20,000 young people out in the city and estates, and evenings with a
series of large evangelistic meetings. When the news was announced at
the fifth Soul Survivor festival at Shepton Mallet by the event's Mike
Pilavachi it was greeted with wild cheering.
