IN A SHOCK industry announcement annual Christian celebration Spring Harvest and Christian media company ICC are in discussions with a view to merging.
Spring Harvest was founded in 1979 as a one-week event in Prestatyn. Since then Spring Harvest has become the largest Christian conference in Europe. Through a range of events, conferences, holidays and teaching resources, Spring Harvest specialises in resourcing Christians to impact their local communities.
ICC (International Christian Communications) was founded in 1976 and at the time was the country's leading Christian recording facility. It was renamed ICC Media Group in 2005 to express the growth and development of the organisation. The two organisations have been working together for nearly 30 years on a number of initiatives, including Spring Harvest music product - CDs and songbooks. The practical details of the merger will be completed by the autumn of 2008 when a further announcement will be made.
