'60s soul singer Mitty Collier compiled on new album
IN THE UK Ace Records have released a compilation of the '60s soul music of Mitty Collier. 'Shade Of Mitty Collier: The Chess Singles 1961-1968' contains recordings the singer made for the legendary Chess/Checker label of Chicago, including her chart hit of 1964, "I Had A Talk With My Man", a re-write of a gospel song written by James Cleveland. Mitty today pastors a church in Chicago.
