The Fighting Temptations film gets its UK release on 12th December.

THE FEATURE film The Fighting Temptations, starring Cuba Gooding Jr and Beyonce, is set to open in the UK on 12th December. The movie has already clocked up a major success with the soundtrack album making number one in the US gospel charts. The first single from the album, "Fighting Temptation" by Beyonce, Missy Elliot, MC Lyte and Free, reached 16 on America's R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart but the second single by Beyonce and P Diddy, a cover of the old Little Willie John/Peggy Lee song "Fever", is shaping up to be a bigger hit. In the movie Beyonce plays a nightclub singer who is recruited to be part of a gospel choir preparing for a competition. The film also features Angie Stone, Melba Moore, Montell Jordan and T-Bone as fellow choir members. Acts that have cameos in the movie include Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, The Blind Boys Of Alabama and Yolanda Adams. CR
