Evensong Rising buck trend with eclectic worship album

IN THE US Ahwiyah Records have released a self-titled album by Greenwich, Connecticut ensemble Evensong Rising which Christian Retailing magazine describe as "pure gumbo." The album is reported to take in jazz, funk, Southern gospel, roots rock and pop. Wrote the magazine, "Evensong Rising is an eclectic jam band out to prove that praise and worship doesn't have to be formulaic." CR
