The founders of Holland explain the change to Lonely Hearts.
THE FOUNDERS of the rock band Holland, who enjoyed considerable
success with the Tooth & Nail album 'Photographs And Tidal Waves'
and who toured with such acts as Relient K and Bleach, have explained
why the band disappeared after just one album. Josiah Holland, who
with brother Will started the group in 2001, told HM magazine, "The
more we toured, played and evolved as a band I think we saw something
different in us and something different in Will as a songwriter. We
started the Lonely
Hearts for this to be an outlet for that while never quite closing
the door on Holland. In the end we decided to not do Holland anymore
and just focus on Lonely
Hearts." The Lonely
Hearts album 'The Paper Tapes' is released this month by Tooth
& Nail.
